The loch was frozen, as was the ground in the boat compound. It was too dangerous to move the boats to trestles where they could be easily seen so they received their customary dribble of shampoo tied on to the racks. We can see Ailie Ord giving the training single "Finding Dory" its name after Laura Graham did the same for its cousin "Shrek".
Alistair Neill did the same to our coxed four/quad "Nae Pasaran". Alistair explained the significance of name, which literally means "The Shall Not Pass", from the film about the East Kilbride Rolls Royce workers who refused to work on aircraft engines owned by the brutal regime in Chile of General Pinochet in the 1970s. Alistair is a former Rolls Royce employee (joining long after the dispute) but the events are still well remembered and former Rolls Royce staff were present to witness the boat's naming.
